this architecture is designed with a concept of lava. so i chose the volcanic rock as the texture and matirial for the architecture. the red parts i would like to use red lazurite, which can give people an impression of lava.

Your design has it's own name-LAVA, thus I can see every aspects of it including colour, constructure and texture have the same concept, and that is wonderful. I am just curious to see your original sections in ur sketchbook and the 2 words u have chose. One thing I wanna point out in ur design is ur choice of material, since our task is studios and a middle exhibition space, i think it should be small space, and the studio should have the environment of quiet. But ur texture give me a feeling of in a large public place such as town hall.it's just my personal opinion,we can discuss it when we meet.
回复删除Hi sean your textures and colours are nicely matched with your word lava and red coloured column located at centre of ground floor looks like raising volcano. However, facade of your building is little bit weak to express your word lava.
回复删除Hello Mengyue, this is the best interior that Ive seen so far. Lava, wow. You have put so much effort in the interior, how about the aesthetics on the exterior? try and incorporate more into the facade and this sketch will be a killer.
